Spring has sprung in Aeternum and with it, a new Seasonal Event. This guide breaks down everything you need to know about the Springtide Bloom Event in New World.
The Springtide Bloom Event started April 25th with the release of Update 1.9.2 and will end on May 23.
How to participate in Springtide Bloom
Springtide Bloom is much like the Winter Convergence Festival, in the way that you need to visit a Springtide Village to start the event and its related mini-quests.
Conveniently, these villages also exist in the same locations you’re used to from the Winter Convergence Festival. This means you can find them in Monarch’s Bluff, Everfall, Brightwood, and Weaver’s Fen.
Once arriving in the Springtide Village, speak with the NPC in the middle of the Village to get started with the Springtide Bloom event.
How to complete the Springtide Bloom Quest
This short quest chain teaches you the basics of the event, including how to make additional Wispy Spritz and complete the Wispybloom Fields.
Crafting Wispy Spritz
The first part of this short quest asks you to craft Wispy Spritz. To do so you’ll need to head to a Wispy Spritz Station found in a Springtide Village.
Here you’ll have access to the Wispy Spritz Recipe. Each Craft require 10x Fiber, 3x Honey, and a Fire Mote and produces 8 Wispy Spritz.
With the Wispy Spritz Crafted, head back to the Bloom Herald to complete the quest.
Doing so will reward you with the following rewards: 250 Event Reputation, 1x Spring Token, 2060 Character XP, 68.75 Coin, 175 Territory Standing, and 10 Azoth.
Complete a Wispybloom Field
The second and final step of this quest asks you to complete a Wispybloom Field. We’ll have details on the best ways to find and complete a Wispybloom Field in the next section of this guide detailing the activities of this event.
In addition to the reward from the Wispybloom Field itself, turning in the quest will grant you additional rewards. These rewards consist of 250 Event Reputation, 1x Premium Spring Token, 2060 Character XP, 68.75 Coin, 175 Territory Standing, and 10 Azoth.
Between the Wispybloom Field and these two quests, this should bump your straight up to the Shepard Rank for the event Shop, letting you have immediate access to basic patterns and some unique dyes. Full Event Shop rewards are listed further in this guide.
Springtide Bloom Activities
The Springtide Bloom event has two main components, Joyous Gift Piles and Wispybloom Fields. Primablooms are also enhanced during this event and grant additional items and rewards for harvesting them. Additionally, Springtide Villages have Item exchanges where you can turn in the Tokens and other items earned from these activities.
Where to find Joyous Gift Piles
Joyous Gift Piles can be found in every major settlement in Aeternum. These are just like the Gift Piles from similar events, and award similar items.
Typically you’re able to claim rewards from each Joyous Gift Pile once per day from every Settlement. Doing so rewards you with Wispy Spritz and a handful of dyes. These Dyes are pulled from a pool of all craftable dyes.
In addition to the Joyous Gift Piles, Springtide Villages have their own Delightful Gift Sacks, which can also be collected from daily.
Occasionally, these gift piles also have a chance to award Event Consumables (from the Blossom Tier of the Shop), Diamond Gypsum, Springtide Tokens, Gear Patterns, as well as sacks containing Coin. Though, these are typically awarded at a lower chance compared to the other items mentioned which tend to be guaranteed.
How to complete Wispybloom Fields
Wispybloom Fields are the main attraction of the event and will provide most of the rewards and tokens you can earn for the event. These are marked on your map and radar if you are within a certain distance of them (usually ~200 meters).
Additionally, they can be located by looking for the circular rainbow patterns in the sky. If you see this in the sky, there’s a Wispybloom Field beneath it.
To complete a Wispybloom Field, you’ll need Harvest the Wispybloom in the middle of the Wispybloom Field. However, this Wispybloom is also guarded by a few Wispy Wasps which can only be defeated with Wispy Spritz.
You’ll need a handful of Wispy Spritz, usually 3-4 per field is necessary. Wispy Spritz can be crafted at a Wispy Spritz Station in a Springtide Village or obtained by collecting from Delightful Gift Sacks or Joyous Gift Piles, with each giving you a small amount of them.
By using the Wispy Spritz, you can place an AoE damage zone that detonates after a brief time. You’ll want to group up the Wispy Wasps or work with other players to make this process go quicker. You’ll typically need to use three Wispy Spritz to defeat a Wispy Wasp, but you may need to use more if they do not take damage from them.
The best strategy to alleviate this is to place the Wispy Spritz as the Wispy Wasps approach you, and back away to the edge of its area. This keeps the wasps firmly in the AoE.
Unfortunately in groups, the Wispy Wasps will go after the person closest to the Wispybloom. For wild groups, this can be an issue as people will think they’ll be able to harvest the flower, despite constantly getting hit.
Once defeated, you can harvest the Wispybloom in the middle of the field, awarding a handful of Wispybloom Petals and 250 Event Reputation to everyone in the event area. Defeating Wispy Wasps also has a small chance to award you with Wispy Wasp Goo.
You can also harvest the Wispybloom without defeating the Wispy Wasps by luring the Wispy Wasps away then run to the Wispybloom and collect it. While you miss out on the chance to get Wispy Wasp Goo, and by extension Premium Springtide Tokens, you’re able to earn more Wispybloom Petals without spending any Wispy Spritz.
Wispybloom Fields respawn roughly 10-15 minutes from their previous completion time, which allows you to very quickly build up resources to craft tokens with.
Enhanced Prismablooms
In addition to their normal drops, during the Springtide Bloom event, all Prismablooms will award you with a Springtide Token when harvesting them.
This can be an extra way to farm out a bunch of tokens if you find yourself unable to harvest Wispyblooms without dealing with the Wispy Wasps.
Springtide Village Exchange
One feature of the Springtide Village is the Adornment Cart, which allows you to exchange your Wispybloom Petals and Wispy Wasp Goo for Springtide Tokens. It can also upgrade and downgrade your Springtide Tokens. Below is a table summarizing the item and token exchange rates.
Items Traded in | Items Recieved |
---|---|
5x Wispybloom Petals | 1x Springtide Token |
1x Wispy Wasp Goo | 1x Premium Springtide Token |
25x Springtide Tokens and 1x Vial of Suspended Azoth | 1x Premium Springtide Token |
1x Premium Springtide Token | 25x Springtide Token |
Where to get Springtide Bloom Event Rewards
All of the rewards for the Springtide Bloom event are purchased using the Springtide Tokens and Premium Springtide Tokens by speaking with the Bloom Herald in the middle of the Springtide Village.
When speaking with him, you’ll be able to open the Springtide Shop. Like past event Shop, this is a min-faction, meaning you’ll need to complete the Springtide Bloom Questline to get access to all the rewards in a timely manner.
This shop is broken into three tiers; Blossom, Shepard, and Herald. Each of these tiers grants access to unique items including cosmetics and gear patterns.
What Items are in the Blossom Tier Springtide Shop
The Blossom Tier only contains a few food items. However, much like past events, these items boost the amount of Wispybloom Petals you can earn for completing a Wispybloom Field. Unlike past events, these are split into three distinct Foods: Luck, Event, and Attribute.
First is the Springtide Dram. This consumable grants up to 5% Luck for 25 minutes. The amount of Luck this provides scales based on player level. Each one of these costs 5 Springtide Tokens
Next is the Springtide Wafer. Consuming this will increase the amount of Wispybloom Petals earned by gathering for 30 minutes. This affects the Wispyblooms found in Wispybloom Fields, increasing the number of petals you get per harvest. This costs 5 Springtide Tokens
Finally, there’s the Springtide Crumble. This is a fairly basic Constitution food, increasing your Constitution by 33 for 25 minutes. This also costs 5 Springtide Tokens.
What Items are in the Shepard Tier Event Shop
The Shepard Tier has a few dyes that are unique to the rewards shop and the start of the available gear patterns.
The dyes that are unique to this shop are the Limoncello Dye (a pale green-brown color), Royal Azalea Dyes (a pale purple color), and Morning Mist Dye (a dark blue color).
In addition to the dyes are full sets of Green Armor patterns. These generally aren’t worth getting unless you are a high-level Crafter, or know someone that is. These are fully random patterns, but they can still be useful tools for crafting. At the very least they’ll be worth holding on to to make cheap Transmog gear later.

What Items are in the Herald Tier Event Shop
The Herald Tier is the Tier that has all the major event rewards you’ll be after. You’ll need to hit up quite a few Wispybloom Fields though, not only for tokens, but you’ll also need to reach the final reputation tier to have access to this shop.
This section of the shop has two cosmetic items as well as two emotes you can pick up. There’s also a handful of housing decorations here too, mostly flowerbeds and potted flowers but does also include a banner. There are also Sacks of Pigment, which grant you random dye pigments.
Finally, this section of the shop has the GS 600 Gear Patterns. With the recent meta shift in Update 1.9 the default perk combination of Physical Aversion and Refreshing just might make these useful to help lessen the blow from Bow-based PvP builds, like the Ranged Assassin Build that was poised to take over the PvP meta for Ranged DEX.
These are sure to be sought after, not only for the possible PvP potential but also for the upcoming Transmog system that’s expected to come later this year.
