You are correct. But see, here is the problem...we are so used to having to accept the gruel that Madden feeds us every year that we are conditioned to just move on quietly year after year with their less than stellar effort. This should not be. Honestly, it is shameful. I mean...how hard is it to build a beautiful and innovative game with the time, talent and resources this company has. If I was this dev team I'd be ashamed of myself for just rolling more so so content out and saying "well, that's good enough I guess." Because that is how EVERY honest Madden fan feels about their game year after year. "Well, it's good enough I guess."

I agree with this assessment. There's certainly a crowd that has a certain expectation of Madden year in and year out and will never get the game that they want. For me though, the game play on field is fun and engaging enough to enjoy picking up and playing and going through some seasons in Franchise.

Even though Worthy is listed as WR3, you have to check to see who's listed as the SLWR. For KC it's Skyy Moore. This is a depth chart adjustment that needs to be made, not really a substitution issue.

Enjoying it so far. Looks great and plays well. The new commentary options are a nice addition.

Hopefully they add option to chose your commentators for franchise games.

A few issues in franchise mode I found, replays and cut scenes to start drives are bugged and the latest scores ticker has a bug as well where the team logos disappear and it shows the same player stats for one game.

I agree with that...

But there's also the same type of crowd that take the minor updates to Madden and then proceed to hype it up to be the best football experience ever.

Then I start playing it and it's not as bad as some make it out to. But it's definetly not as good as some say either.

From my experience it's always poor in terms of atmosphere and franchise mode. There's literally no soul to the game.

You won't feel any difference between week one of the preseason to the conference playoff games. The announcers treat it and react to it the same way from start to finish.

Hopefully the new crews add life to the game but I'm not holding my breath on that...

EA has years of data to fix the playing tendencies of these teams and yet you'll still get the same play calling logic from all teams. I'm sure we here about how the CPU is running the ball doing these impressions and I hope it's true. But I've heard that line many times before and then start playing the game and the CPU out here passing 80% of the time regardless of score and game situation.

I love madden just as much as the next guy but I have to keep it real about EA
